Why should I donate?

What is military moral injury? It is the inner conflict or loss a person feels when they are a witness to, a participant in, or the target of any activities by military personnel that violated a person’s moral values.

Much more research is needed to determine the answers to these and many other important questions:

  • How are women affected differently than men?
  • What are the best methods to support women who have been morally injured?
  • How are spouses/partners and children affected when parents suffer moral injury?
  • How can we change the military culture/society in order to prevent moral injury?

In addition to moral injury research, we are establishing the Tubman Chaplain Network, a program in which women chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support to women veterans. We believe that women are underutilized in the chaplain field, furthermore, many women veterans do not feel comfortable seeking support from male clergy. All chaplains in the network are women, and most importantly, it is designed exclusively to help servicewomen.

Help donate to further research for servicewomen!
